Have a Question?
Beechbrook Landscape Architecture is a full service landscape architecture firm dedicated to all facets of the profession, from land planning and site design to stewardship strategies. The firm provides design consultation for residential, institutional, and commercial projects of various scales. We work closely with our clients through the planning and design process, including construction administration and observation, to craft landscapes that are timeless, captivating, and rich in detail.
Our work experience is diversified and deep, and our design abilities have been recognized through award winning projects. In addition to a large number of residential projects, the firm and its leadership have been closely associated with a wide range of institutional projects, including St. Paul’s School, The Elkridge Club, Irvine Nature Center, Green Mount Cemetery, Green Spring Valley Hunt Club, The Star Spangled Banner Flag House Museum, and the world-renowned Sherwood Gardens in Guilford. The firm’s leadership also has extensive experience with mixed-use and commercial projects.
Evolving out of an understanding of the land and influenced by the surrounding context, our designed landscapes are an appropriate chemistry between site architecture, history, and ecology. We create outdoor spaces that are extensions of the architecture and that also honor any natural and historic elements. Highlighting unique landscape features is as valued as infusing site specific and/or vernacular building elements into the designed landscape. Maintaining, enhancing, or re-establishing connections to surrounding cultural and ecological systems is equally important. Our landscapes are not intended to be eye-catching stand-alone monuments, rather our best work is purely an embellishment upon the land that amplifies existing processes, compliments existing landscape features, and reflects surrounding architecture.
